About This Gig
I transcribe podcast segments up to 15 minutes. You get a text file with speaker labels (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.) and basic punctuation. I type what is said, including filler words like um and uh unless you tell me to skip them. Audio needs to be clear with one or two speakers who don't talk over each other much. Send me an mp3 or wav file. I don't add detailed timestamps but I can mark section breaks if you point them out. Turnaround is usually one day but I work evenings in Manila so factor in the time zone.

How accurate is it?
Typed by hand, not machine output. Unclear words are marked with a timestamp.
Do you label speakers?
Yes, and I will use real names if you send a list.
Heavy accents or crosstalk?
Send a sample first and I will tell you honestly what is recoverable.

I transcribe audio files in English, mostly interviews and meetings. I type what I hear without heavy editing. I work evenings Manila time and don't transcribe heavy accents or multiple overlapping speakers well.
