I'll research local businesses in your target city or region and compile their details into a spreadsheet. Tell me the type of business, the city or zip codes, and whether you need the owner or a manager. I use Google Maps, Yelp, chamber of commerce directories, and business websites. Each entry includes business name, address, website if they have one, and a contact name with email when I can find it. Phone numbers are included when they're public on the website. I don't call to verify anything. This works well for contractors, retail stores, restaurants, or service businesses. Less reliable for businesses that don't have much online presence. I'll note if a business looks closed or if the website is down.
Findings first, then the evidence, then what I would do about it.
Every figure is sourced and dated in the sheet.
Ask first — if the data is thin I will say so instead of padding it.
I build lead lists and research contacts for small businesses. I work with LinkedIn, company websites, and public directories. I usually find email addresses and job titles but I don't verify phone numbers because most tools for that cost extra. I deliver in a spreadsheet and I'm online most evenings.

5Exactly what I needed for my area. All the addresses were current and I got about 12 solid email contacts.

4Pretty thorough but two of the businesses had changed owners recently so the names were outdated. Still useful overall.
Local business research, one round of changes included.
